Eric is an aging former sysadmin who has forgotten much more than he still appears to know about UNIX system administration. He specialized in Solaris Administration, a System V derivative of the many flavors of, today, what we broadly refer to as UNIX.
He likes Motorcycles, Electronics, G-Scale Railroad modeling and gardening. He leans towards Arduino-like micro-controllers for various projects.. He runs his own internet domain with nothing actually facing the internet and a home email server and dabbles in home automation for fun and a "lively" automated household.
He has a FDM 3D Printer and loves using it to create all manner of objects..
He uses TinkerCAD to create his 3D solid models.
His printer is a Prusa i3-MKS Printer and he is VERY happy with it.
He dreams of a Stereo Lithography printer, but it will have to wait for funding and a place..
